Little boxes and small trip.

This is a small update for two little boxes i made to move my minis form some place to another in a cool way. I saw things like this around the internet, and always thought that it was a brilliant idea – if i find some links back, i’ll update the post. And in the same movement, i’ll use this boxes this weekend for a trip to the Warhammer World i was thinking about for a long time. The Pilgrym exhibition there is a perfect excuse, if i needed any! Maybe i’ll have the opportunity to meet some of you there? Let me know if that would be the case!

For now, here are the boxes in some Wip stages and with the miniatures in them. There should soon be an update on the Many Faces of the Vox Populii thing i guess..

Thank you Owlshield! This is actually a great idea! To transform a bigger box in a transportable gaming board! An old travel trunk.. I may steal this idea on day! (By the way, i love your etching on your tumblr! Really good!)

      Thanks a lot Eli! =)
I want at some point to add some holy parchments, wires and things like this, but i wanted them to be done before i leave. I’ll show more once it’s done!

Thank you Warburton! Yep’, i tried a magnetic paint and a strong magnet – well, a half of a magnet – under the base. I think they should survive the travel without too much strong movement. I’ll have more to tell about it next week i guess 😉

    Absolutely beautiful execution.

I already collected little wooden boxes, it’s a side hobby of mine. I had planned on using some from transporting miniatures, maybe laying down some steel sheet in the bottom and magnets on the bases, but this just takes them to a whole other level, wonderful work.

I may shamelessly replicate this idea in my own efforts in the future…

      Thanks a lot =)
Please steal, i would love to see what you would do with that! I used magnetic paint – it’s a bit pricey but it works fine despite the texture on it. Well, some places are a bit less sure depending the weight of the miniature!..
